This Pokemon-themed pop-up event is definitely one for the ‘gram.
Tomorrow, Friday May 3, a Detective Pikachu-inspired coffee bar opens serving yellow bubble tea and Pokemon-themed coffees to celebrate the first live-action Pokemon film.
The two-floor pop-up experience includes furry walls and a neon space inspired by the movie’s Ryme City setting.
The bright lights of the ground floor offers a contrast to the basement, which is decorated in neon noir style. This place promises something of a paradise for those who know their Jigglypuffs from their Wigglytuffs.
Elsewhere are karaoke booths, nail art stations and activities including Detective Pikachu cupcake icing with Great British Bake Off's Kim-Joy, yoga sessions, Psyduck-inspired head and shoulder massages and miming workshops.
Each activity touches on the various themes and moments from the film, which opens on Friday May 10 in cinemas nationwide.
Wanna catch 'em all? Spaces for the pop-up are free of charge. Classes and workshops are ticketed and some must be booked in advance.
