Details revealed as beauty salon could replace former Woodthorpe butcher's shop

An application has been submitted to convert a disused space of a former butchers into a beauty salon.

The site in Wensley Road, Woodthorpe, is currently empty, and the applicant KM Aesthetics Academy Ltd has requested a change of use for the property "from cafe to beauty (aesthetics)".

The application has been submitted to Gedling Borough Council and is currently waiting for approval.

In the details it states building works will be required internally at the 56 sq m site.

"This will briefly comprise of two treatment rooms, toilet, store room and possible kitchenette," it adds.

"The building will be for use of aesthetics rather than standard beauty treatments."

Aesthetic treatments typically include cosmetic alterations such as microblading and lip procedures.

The building is to the rear of The Bridal Suite, which used to be home to the F S Jackson family butchers.

Opening hour requests have been made for Monday to Friday 9am to 4pm and Saturday 9am to 2pm.
