Details released for Ireland's first music festival since Covid including attendance and line up

The first big music festival to take place in Ireland for over 12 months has been confirmed with the lineup, location and attendance all confirmed.

The festival will take place on the grounds of Royal Hospital Kilmainham on July 3.

The event, which is being promoted by MCD, will have a capacity of 3,500 with every attendee being tested with an antigen test. Social Distancing will be reduced from 2m to 1m.

The lineup includes Gavin James, Lyra, Denise Chaila, Sharon Shannon, Wyvern Lingo, the 2 Johnnies and Wild Youth.

This follows on from James Vincent McMorrow's live show at Iveagh Gardens a couple of weeks ago, in which 500 people were allowed to attend.

More details on this festival will be shared by Minister for Arts, Catherine Martin later on today.

This news comes after it was confirmed that Electric Picnic will be making a return in the final week in September.

It was moved three weeks to allow as many people to be vaccinated as possible. Click here for all the latest Electric Picnic news.
