Destiny's Child to 'reunite for world tour', says Beyoncé's dad

Destiny’s Child has not ruled out the possibility of reuniting for a world tour.

The band’s former manager Mathew Knowles, also father to Beyoncé, recently sparked rumours after telling the Metro it would be “wonderful”.

However, he added: “It takes years to put together a tour, get the band together, get the dancers together, then decide which size venues you’re going to have, start rehearsals, and it would probably be a world tour… it would [be in] two to three years.”

Kelly Rowland, who has enjoyed a successful solo career since leaving the band, claimed, however, that she was not aware of any plans for a world tour.

The star told Entertainment Tonight: “That was news to me, just as much as it was to you! I was like, ‘Oh! My god, a tour is happening! Someone call me’.”

Although, The Voice Australia judge also revealed that if the band were to plan a tour, she would want it to be a “surprise”.

Destiny’s Child, whose other members were Beyoncé Knowles and Michelle Williams, split to pursue solo projects in 2005. The band last reunited when Beyoncé headlined Coachella in 2018, where the trio sung Say My Name, Soldier, and Lose My Breath.
