The best part of MMOs and Live Service games is that all the content is constantly refreshed, letting you dive back in regularly for repeat raids, quests, rewards, and sometimes a few bug fixes as well. The trade-off is that the game’s servers have to be down for a little while each week so everything can be implemented, which can be annoying if you didn’t know it was happening, and you’re locked out of the game.
To stop that ever happening to you, we’ll let you know precisely when the Desinty 2 weekly reset occurs, how long the servers are typically down for, and what you should make sure you’ve done each week before the reset.

When is the Destiny 2 weekly reset?

Thankfully, this reset takes place at the same time every week. The length of downtime varies but is normally no longer than an hour, and you’ll have to download a small patch each week as well.
Here is when the reset occurs in your region:
- PDT: 10am.
- EDT: 1pm.
- BST: 6pm.
- CEST: 7pm.
Weekly reset changes - Destiny 2

Although the exact details vary from week to week, we’ve put together this list of things that typically see some changes.
- Weapon schedules for raids.
- Engram drops.
- Dungeon progress and rewards.
- Spider’s Wanted Bounty targets.
- Playlist activity progress and rewards.
- Weekly missions.
Rewards can only be redeemed once a week, so make sure you always get in and complete your tasks before the reset, otherwise you’ll miss out. Thankfully, if you completed the tasks but didn’t redeem the reward, it will decrypt automatically when you next log in after the reset, so nothing is lost.
