"Destiny 2" is close to ending its run, but Bungie still has a lot more in store for the iconic online FPS.
In fact, a free item is now available for all players to redeem in-game, regardless of their rank or Season Battle Pass.
'Destiny 2' Gives Away a Free Item to All Players
The Gloriabundus emblem release coincides with "Destiny 2" update 9.70.3, one of the final patches Bungie has deployed for the game.
That update focused primarily on bug fixes and stability improvements rather than new content, serving as a maintenance drop to keep the game running smoothly as its active support period draws to a close.
With the majority of Bungie's development staff recently laid off as part of Sony's restructuring, no further playable content is expected to be added going forward.
The emblem itself features a detailed blue depiction of The Last City, which is the central hub and one of the most iconic locations in the "Destiny" universe.
Its name, Gloriabundus, is Latin for full of glory, and the emblem's design incorporates the franchise's iconic Tricorn logo.
Given the context, the item carries a sentimental quality that most cosmetics in the game do not, making it one of the more meaningful freebies Bungie has ever released.
How to Redeem 'Destiny 2' Code For Free Item
Redeeming the emblem is straightforward as players can head directly to the Bungie rewards portal, sign in to their account connected to their game, and input the following code: F6K-D44-JH4.
Alternatively, players can follow the link shared by the "Destiny 2" Team on X, which also routes to the same redemption page.
The emblem will then appear in the player's inventory the next time they log into the game.
For players who want to grab additional active codes at the same time, Bungie still has a long list of redeemable items available. These include armor ornament sets for all three Guardian classes, sparrows, ships, shaders, emotes, and dozens of emblems, all of which remain live and can be stacked alongside the Gloriabundus unlock.
A full list of active codes can be found on community tracking sites including Game Rant and Bluesky posts from the community.
'Destiny 2' Is Bidding Farewell Soon
"Destiny 2" launched back in 2017 and has run as a live service title for nearly a decade, spanning multiple expansions, seasonal storylines, and one of the more dedicated player communities in the online shooter genre.
Its final major expansion, "Year of Prophecy," released last year containing "Edge of Fate" and "Renegades," and since then the game has been winding down its live content calendar.
Sony's recent restructuring of Bungie resulted in the layoff of most of the studio's staff, with the remaining team focused on "Marathon" and early incubation work rather than continued "Destiny 2" development.
The servers are expected to remain online for the foreseeable future, meaning players can still log in, complete existing content, and use their collections.
But with no new content on the horizon, the Gloriabundus emblem stands as a final symbol from Bungie marking the end of an era for one of the longest-running games in the live service space.
