This book is based in the Isle of White and is a science fiction and thriller combination.
The main character is called Lucy and she is an alien from another planet. Lucy came to earth because her home planet was taken over by deadly creatures called koth. These creatures have no specific gender and their only purpose is to lay their eggs and make another generation of koth.
When Lucy lands on earth she tries to blend in but because she has been on a spaceship for 10 years she doesn't understand how her new planet works. Luckily she makes friends with a brother and sister who she eventually tells her secret to. The twist in this book is that there is a living koth on earth and Lucy and her friends need to stop it!
I would give this book a three and a half stars out of five and I would probably recommend it to a friend.
