Desserts recalled amid fears 'glass pots may break'

Aldi is urgently recalling two of it's desserts amid fears the ramekins could break.

Customers who purchased the packs of Key Lime Cheesecakes and Millionaire's Cheesecakes are being told to return the product immediately.

The Specially Selected key lime cheesecakes and millionaire's cheesecakes come in packs of two and are packaged in individual glass tubs.

A notice issued on the Food Standard Agency website, states "there is a chance the glass packaging may have become damaged".

No other Aldi products are known to be affected, but customers who have bought the 170g Lime Cheesecake, batch number 4088600037844 and the 180g Millionaire's Cheesecake, batch number 4088600037851 - should return them immediately.

All the batches have been affected, with Aldi UK concerned about the safety of its customers.

In a statement, the retailer said: "We apologise for any inconvenience and thank you for your co-operation."
