Despite trade rumors, QB Josh Rosen expected to report to offseason workouts

The Arizona Cardinals will begin their offseason program Monday April 8. Because of the rumors that he is expected to be traded and the team is expected to draft Oklahoma quarterback Kyler Murray with the first pick in the draft later this month, many have wondered if second-year quarterback Josh Rosen would show up.

According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Rosen is expected to report for the early, voluntary part of the offseason.

For this first phase of the offseason, it will only be with the training staff in terms of workouts, but meetings will begin.

The Cardinals have not openly shopped Rosen, as teams have inquired and have not received any sort of response. However, no one is doing anything to quiet the rumors that Murray will be their pick at the top of the draft.

New head coach Kliff Kingsbury has only spoken very highly of Rosen, his toughness, talent, confidence and intelligence, and has said Rosen is very aware of where he stands with the team.

Either Rosen is aware of his fate or is unphased either way.

What will be more telling or not is whether there will be any media availability and if Rosen will be available for comment when workouts do begin.
