Despite COVID-19 outbreak, no plans on postponing Chargers vs. Texans

The Texans and Chargers have both taken a hit by COVID-19 following the emergence of the Omicron variant, with 18 and 11 players currently on the reserve list, respectively.

Despite the numerous amount of players’ availability up in the air, the NFL has zero plans on canceling or postponing Sunday’s game, according to ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler.

Last week, the league postponed three games. The Raiders vs. Browns was moved to Monday, while Washington vs. Eagles and Seahawks vs. Rams were pushed back to Tuesday.

Los Angeles will already be without star pass rusher Joey Bosa, and there’s the possibility of Austin Ekeler not being available, among others.

On the other hand, Houston’s COVID-19 list is headlined by Brandin Cooks.

The Week 16 kickoff is slated for 10:00 am PT.
