A callous crook tricked his way into the home of an Edinburgh pensioner before stealing his savings.
Police are hunting for a callous bogus workman who targeted the 94-year-old man at his home on the city's Broomhall Avenue on Wednesday.
The crook knocked on the elderly resident's door and told him he had been working on a neighbour's roof, and noticed his needed repairs too.
He managed to get inside the property before asking the man for a deposit. He then followed the pensioner up his own stairs and stole more than £100 before leaving.
