'Despicable' attack at house in Paisley sees man suffer serious facial injury

Police are appealing for information following an attack on a man in Ferguslie Park, Paisley.

Around 9.15 pm on Tuesday evening (April 13), police were called after a man had been admitted to the Royal Alexandra Hospital in Paisley after having been attacked and seriously injured at a house on Dalskeith Road around 6.50 pm that evening.

He suffered a serious facial injury and has since been discharged from hospital.

Detective Constable Paul Fanning, Renfrewshire CID, said:"We are appealing to anyone who was in the Dalskeith road area between 6.30 and 7.30 pm who may have seen a disturbance at the address or who has any information about the attack to come forward.

"This was a despicable attack on an innocent member of the public and we are determined to identify the person responsible.

“We would also urge drivers who may have been in area at the time of the attack to check dashcam footage to see if they captured anything that might be useful to our investigation. Similarly, if you have private CCTV in the area, please get in touch.”

Information can be passed to officers via 101 quoting reference number 3386 of 13 April, 2021.

Alternatively, Crimestoppers can be called anonymously on 0800 555 111.
