Desperate search launched for missing Scot with distinctive scorpion tattoo last seen two days ago

A search operation has been launched to trace a missing Scots man last seen two days ago.

Alexander Riddell, known as Sandy, disappeared from Auchterarder, Perthshire, around 8.30pm on Monday, April 23.

Police say that the 63-year-old has connections in the Crieff area and has access to a silver Honda Civic Tourer with registration number OE15 VRJ.

He is believed to have been wearing a checked shirt, dark dogging bottoms and slippers.

Alexander is described as around 5ft 8in in height, of a medium build with brown eyes and short, grey hair.

He has a scorpion tattoo on his left upper arm.

Inspector Nicky Forrester of Perth Police Office said : “Alexander’s family are growing increasingly concerned for his welfare.

"If you have any information on his whereabouts or have seen him or the vehicle, please contact Police Scotland on 101 quoting incident 2381 of Tuesday, April 26, 2022.”
