Desperate search launched as mum, 21, and young baby vanish from their home

A desperate search has been launched to find a missing mum and her baby after they vanished from their home.

Bedfordshire Police say that Alba, 21, and her seven-month-old baby Nora have not been seen since Wednesday.

They were last seen at their home in Saxon Road, Luton, BedfordshireLive reports.

In an appeal shared on social media, police said: "We are concerned for missing mum Alba, 21, and her 7-month-old baby Nora .

"They were last seen at their home address in Saxon Road, Luton on Wednesday.

"Anyone with any information should call 101 quoting incident 198 of 14 January".

The National Crime Agency's Missing Persons Unit says that if you believe that someone is missing then you should contact your local police station.

The agency's website says: "Dial 101 and inform them you would like to make a missing persons report, alternatively you can attend your local police station."

"It is a common belief that you have to wait 24 hours before reporting but this is not true, you can make a report to the police as soon as you think a person is missing."

"If you are extremely concerned for the welfare of the person then dial 999 and ask for the police."
