Desperate search for schoolgirl, 15, missing after mum dropped her off in town

A 15-year-old school girl has gone missing after being dropped off by her mum in her city centre yesterday.

Maisie Fox was last seen by her mum at 2.30pm in Sheffield.

South Yorkshire Police are appealing for anyone who has seen her to come forward.

Officers say Maisie is described as looking older than her 15 years.

The teenager is reported to have spoken on the phone to her sister at 6.45pm yesterday, but has not been seen or heard from since.

Maisie is described as being around 6ft tall, of medium build, and with long brown hair.

Maisie was last seen wearing black leggings, white trainers and a black coat with a black fur hood (pictured).

She was also carrying a black Michael Kors handbag.

A South Yorkshire Police spokesman said: "We believe she has friends in Barnsley and may have made her way there during the evening.

"Have you seen her?"

Anyone with information should call police on 101.
