Desperate search for missing kite surfer, 32, who vanished from popular beach

A desperate search for a kite surfer who went missing from a popular beach is underway.

Christopher Goldworthy, 32, was last seen kite surfing at Pendine Sands, Carmarthenshire, Wales.

Dyfed Powys Police say nobody has spoken to him since 5pm yesterday.

In an appeal they say he was wearing a black wetsuit and have asked anyone who has seen him or has any information to come forward.

Coastguard have searched the water, however had to stand down last night due to worsening weather .

The search is expected to resume today, Wales Online reports.

"We're concerned about Christopher Goldworthy, aged 32, who has not been spoken to since around 5pm today (December 15), the police force tweeted on Sunday.

"Christopher was last seen kite surfing at #Pendine Sands this afternoon. He was wearing a black wetsuit.

"Coastguard have searched the water, however have been stood down due to worsening weather.

"If you've seen Christopher, or have any information, contact us by calling 101.

"If you are deaf, hard of hearing, or speech impaired text the non-emergency number on 07811 311 908."

The area is very popular with kite surfers because the conditions there can be perfect for the sport.
