Urgent searches are underway to trace the families of six men and women who died alone in Merseyside.
Merseyside Police has released the names of people who have died, on behalf of coroner's officers, but searches to find their next of kin have so far drawn a blank.
If families are not found, the deceased face being laid to rest in lonely funerals with no mourners.

Today the ECHO lists the names of people who have died in Merseyside and who police issued next of kin appeals as a hunt for family members has proved unsuccessful.
In some cases, people are buried or cremated without the presence of relatives in what is known as a public health funeral organised by the local authority.
None of the deaths are being treated as suspicious but it's important to try and find any relatives who may be unaware they have died.
