Desperate search for 'extremely vulnerable' boy, 11, who went missing last night

A desperate search has been launched for an "extremely vulnerable" schoolboy who disappeared on Friday night.

Cleveland Police are "becoming increasingly concerned" for the whereabouts of 11-year-old John Connors, who went missing in the Park End area of Middlesbrough.

Police said John is "dependent on medication which he hasn't taken for two days".

He has connections to Park End, North Ormesby, Berwick Hills and Pallister Park.

The child was last seen wearing black Nike tracksuit bottoms and a jumper and black and orange Nike trainers.

Police have made multiple appeals asking for help in bringing the child home safely, and they want people to review CCTV, dashcam and doorbell footage recorded between 9:30pm and 11pm on Friday.

John was reported missing in the Park End area of Middlesbrough (Cleveland Police)

A police spokesperson said: "Officers are becoming increasingly concerned for the whereabouts of missing John Connors, 11, and have released a new photograph of him.

"John was last seen in the Elkington Walk/Burwell Road areas of Middlesbrough last night, Friday 7th May at around 10pm.

"Police are appealing for residents living in the areas of his last sighting, particularly Burrell Road and Fulbeck Road to please check private CCTV, dashcam and doorbell footage."

Anyone with video showing a potential sighting of John between 9:30pm and 11pm on Friday is asked to upload it on the Cleveland Police website.

The force added: "John is extremely vulnerable and is dependent on medication which he hasn’t taken for two days.

"He was last seen wearing black Nike tracksuit bottoms and a jumper and black and orange Nike trainers.

"He has links to following areas of Middlesbrough: Park End, Pallister Park, North Ormesby and Berwick Hills."

Earlier, police sent multiple tweets with an appeal for information.

Anyone with information regarding John's whereabouts is asked to contact Cleveland Police on 101 quoting 072999.
