Desperate plea as girl, 12, goes missing after running errands for her mum

Police are urgently searching for a young schoolgirl who was last seen near her home in Tipton, West Midlands.

Deanne Anslow, 12, who has links to Birmingham, Dudley and Lichfield, went out to run an errand for her mother yesterday afternoon but hasn't been seen since.

The public have been urged to dial 999 if they spot the girl who was wearing blue ripped jeans, a green cop top, black padded coat with a fur hood and black Nike trainers at the time of her disappearence.

She is white with long hair and is around 5ft 2in tall.

The Dudley Police team said: "Have you seen 12-year-old Deanne Anslow?

"Deanne, from the Tipton area, hasn’t been seen since yesterday afternoon (March 27) when she left home to run an errand for her mother and never returned.

"It’s believed she has links to Dudley, Birmingham and Lichfield.

"She is described as white with long hair and approximately 5ft 2in tall.

"She was last seen wearing blue ripped jeans, a green crop top, a black padded coat with a fur hood and black Nike trainers.

"If you see her call 999 immediately and anyone who has information on her whereabouts - is urged to call us immediately on 101."
