Desperate Piers Morgan slams Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's baby name

Piers Morgan has inexplicably taken against the name of the newest royal baby in a desperate attempt to slate his former friend, Meghan Markle .

The Good Morning Britain host lashed out at Baby Sussex's name - Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor - as "silly" minutes after the royal couple announced their newborn's name.

Sharing a picture of the family of three taken inside St George's Hall in Windsor Castle - where the Duke and Duchess of Sussex got married nearly a year ago this month - Piers tweeted: "So the royal couple, in a striking blow for diversity & feminism, have given their son one of the most popular white middle-class first names,  Archie , and a second name, Harrison, that was chosen because it stands for 'Harry's son' (I'm serious..). Hilarious."

Responding to one follower who defended their choice by saying Meghan and Harry were never going to be traditional, Piers spat: "I like 'Archie', but calling him Harrison 'because he's Harry's son' is just silly."

It's not the first time Piers has taken a pop at Prince Harry's wife - he's previously branded her "a ruthless social climber", "fake" and accused her of wanting to "milk [the role of a lifetime] for all she can".

He also sided with Meghan's estranged dad Thomas Markle throughout the humiliating set-up paparazzi shoots that led Thomas to missing the royal wedding - and launched a family feud that shows no sign of abating.

Piers and Meghan had previously been good acquaintances, chatting away on Twitter when she was still starring in Suits and even meeting up for a drink when she came to London in June 2016.

"She met Prince Harry at the dinner that night, went on a solo date with him the next night, and I never heard from her again. Not a word. I'd been ghosted," Piers later wrote in his Daily Mail column.

Since then, the controversial TV star has been gunning for Meghan at every chance he gets - including insisting this week that the biracial duchess and her husband need to "understand their place" within the royal family.
