Desperate parents offer £500 plus tickets for "festival nanny" to watch the kids

A job advert has just appeared offering £500 a time for a "festival nanny", who can watch three children while their parents have fun.

The advert, posted on on Childcare.co.uk last week, was put up after the parents' nanny handed her notice in - leaving them in dire need of someone to look after their six, ten and eleven year olds or miss out on the action.

And the better news is food, drink and tickets are included alongside the £500.

The advert reads: "We desperately need to find a nanny this summer after our current one has handed her notice in!

"It’s sort of on an adhoc basis over the summer, we basically need a nanny to accompany us and look after our 3 children, aged 6, 10 and 11, whilst we attend three festivals in July and August.

"We’ll pay £500 per festival, as well as cover all entry, food/drink and accommodation at the festivals.

"Myself and my husband have been avid festival-goers for a while, and over the last few years our nanny has come with us to take care of the kids so we can properly enjoy ourselves.

"We love to get involved in the powerful energetic atmosphere live music provides, and you just can’t do that when you’re looking after 3 young kids."

Richard Conway, founder of Childcare.co.uk said: "I don’t think it’s unusual for families to take their nanny on holiday with them, so that the parents can relax and enjoy themselves, so why should festivals be any different?"

He added: "I encourage any childcare professionals who enjoy live music to apply, this could be a great opportunity to earn some good money and see some amazing musicians play!”
