Desperate manhunt after two men 'attempt to abduct schoolgirl, 15'

Police are appealing for witnesses following the 'attempted abduction' of a teenage girl.

West Midlands Police received reports of two men acting suspiciously in Chelmsley Wood, near Solihull.

A 15-year-old girl was asked the time by two men in an Alfa Romeo as she walked along the street, officers say.

She told them she didn't know and proceed to walk down the street, BirminghamLive reported .

She then "felt someone grab her shoulder and when she turned around the passenger door of the red car slammed shut and drove off".

The driver is described as white, aged late 20s, with blonde hair, blonde facial stubble and chubby cheeks.

The passenger is described as white, aged late 20s, with dark brown hair and dark brown stubble.

He was wearing a grey jumper and dark blue jeans.

Detectives are keen to hear from anyone who saw the car in the area on that day or anyone with information to get in touch.

A spokesman for West Midlands Police said: "Anyone who saw the incident or has information is asked to contact police via Live Chat at west-midlands.police.uk between 8am - midnight, or to call 101 anytime.
