Three missing girls, aged 12 and 13, found after they disappeared on way to school

Three young girls have been found after they went missing while on their way to school in south London.

Police issued an urgent appeal after the trio disappeared on leaving their homes yesterday morning in the Camberwell Green, south London.

The trio were last seen on Friday before they were found.

Investigators were asking anyone who may have seen the girls or has any information to call them as soon as possible, reports My London.

A Southwark Police statement on the missing girls read: "Can you help us find three young girls who have been reported #missing shortly after they left their school in the Camberwell Green area?"

Photos of the three girls were released as part of the search.

At around 8.30pm last night the force sent out a tweet reiterating it was "continuing to appeal for help" in finding the girls "who have now been missing for about 30hrs".

But the girls have since been found safe, police confirmed on Twitter.

Southwark Police said: "All three have now been found, safe and well. Thanks for help with retweets."
