The desperate family of a missing man, who was last seen in West Lothian, have offered a £5,000 reward for information that helps find him.
Missing posters offering the reward say vulnerable William McDowell, known as Billy, was last seen outside Yang Sing Chinese takeaway on Manse Road, Whitburn, at around 6pm on August 1.
The 58-year-old is described as white, 5ft 2in tall, with short grey hair.
It is not known what he was wearing at the time of his disappearance however he is known to frequent local pubs in the area.
Sister Rach Rigby said: "Someone must have seen my brother. He is so popular around here and everyone loves Billy."
But with two weeks since the last sighting the family have now offered the cash reward to help try and find him.
Billy's family are now distributing posters offering the £5,000 reward for "information leading to the person(s) responsible for Billy's disappearance or for his safe return.”
Rach added: “To the people of Whitburn and surrounding areas.
"Could you please check your gardens, sheds and outbuildings for any signs that someone could have been living in them.
“Anyone who has CCTV could you please please check them.”
Rach added: “Billy is known by everyone. Someone must have seen him. My mum is absolutely heartbroken as is the rest of the family.
“Please, please, help - please share with as many people as possible.”
Police Scotland told Edinburgh Live: “Billy is still missing and there is ongoing activity today in the local area.”
