Desperate appeal to find pet dog stolen from Gorbals area

A desperate appeal has been made to find a dog believed to have been stolen from the Gorbals area of Glasgow yesterday.

Blake, a six-year-old white and sandy Lhasa Apso, is thought to have been taken from outside a Nisa Extra shop on Ballater Street at about 9.40pm.

A £5,000 reward is being offered for Blake's safe return and Police Scotland have been informed of his disappearance.

Blake's devastated owner Kirsteen Marshall has issued an emotional appeal for him to be found.

In a video, she said: "I'm not interested in you being charged or prosected or hurt in any way but I also need you to know that we have an army on social media of friends that are helping to bring Blake home."

She added: "We are only interested in bringing Blake home."

A social media campaign has also been launched called Bring Blake Home as well as a JustGiving fundraiser, which is hoping to raise an additional £1,000.
