Former Cleveland Browns left tackle Desmond Harrison will not have to wait long to find his new team. The Arizona Cardinals claimed Harrison off waivers a day after the Browns dumped their Week 1 starter from 2018.
The Cardinals held the top spot in the NFL’s waiver claim ladder, courtesy of having the worst record in 2018 and the No. 1 overall pick. Therefore, if they wanted Harrison, they got him.
The Browns waived Harrison on Wednesday after he was late in reporting to this week’s mandatory minicamp. The undrafted free agent started the first eight games as a rookie but played his way out of the lineup, replaced by Greg Robinson.
