Designs on Harry

Posted by Michelle Pauli

Can Harry Potter fans take much more excitement? With 128 days to go until publication of what looks certain to become the most popular book in the world before it's even on the shelves, Bloomsbury has fuelled the fever today with their unveiling of the covers for Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. (The children's version is to the left, and the buttoned-down adult version is on the right).

The covers will be used throughout the world, except for the USA; JK Rowling's American publishers, Scholastic, have also revealed their cover art today. Once again, the US designs are by children's illustrator Mary GrandPré, who has drawn the boy wizard for the covers of each of the US editions of the books and says in an interview with MSNBC: "I feel like I'm his mom, I comb his hair or I mess it up, I make sure he looks good before he goes out the door".
