Designer trainer shop loved by Erling Haaland opens in Newcastle selling shoes worth £25,000

A designer trainer store loved by Premier League stars Erling Haaland and Phil Foden has opened a huge branch in Newcastle city centre.

Kick Game, which sells high-end and rare sneakers, opened in the former American Candy unit in Eldon Square on Friday, November 11. The luxury retailer is set to be a hit with sneakerheads, offering exclusive trainer and streetwear collections from sportswear brands including Nike, Supreme, and Off-White.

Footballers Erling Haaland and Phil Foden are said to be regular shoppers at Kick Game and rappers Central Cee and Fredo are also fans of the chain. Fredo even visited the Newcastle store on Friday afternoon to meet fans.

Robert Franks, the founder of Kick Game, said: “This is the seventh Kick Game store to open and the sneaker outlet is going from strength to strength as it approaches its tenth anniversary. The arrival of Kick Game in Newcastle looks set to be the start of a streetwear revolution in the north of England.”

The Newcastle store covers a massive 1,540 square feet of retail space, making it bigger than Kick Game’s flagship shop in Covent Garden, London. Shoppers can expect more than 450 styles of shoes on display, including a pair of Nike Yeezy original Red Octobers worth £25,000.

Alicia Thompson, CEO of Kick Game, said: “Bringing the Kick Game brand to Newcastle, along with the customer experience and access to exclusive products that we provide, is an extremely exciting moment for us. Newcastle has been on our radar for some time, and we've finally found a store space and location that will showcase the incredible sneakers and apparel we source very well.”
