Designer furniture store Loaf is opening a new store in Bristol

Designer furniture brand Loaf has announced plans to open a new store in Bristol this summer.

The brand, which began life as an online retailer before opening its first showroom in Battersea in 2015, has seven others - callled 'shacks' - across the country.

The Bristol shack is slated for launch in August, and will be located in a 5,000sq ft site at Cribbs Causeway.

The new showroom will house Loaf’s signature sofas, beds, handmade furniture and latest laid-back wares.

With a mattress testing station, signature squidgy sofas and arcade games, bosses say they've tried to create a haven for relaxing. There’s even an old-school ice cream parlour.

Loaf’s founder, Charlie Marshall, said: “I know Bristol well and have wanted to open a Shack there for a long time. Cribbs Causeway draws people in from far and wide, so I’m hoping we will now make it easier than ever for people in the West of England and Wales to Loaf their homes!”

Loaf’s first retail destination called the ‘Loaf Shack’ opened in October 2015 in London’s Battersea, running alongside the online offering. There are currently seven Loaf Shacks in total; Battersea, Notting Hill, Spitalfields, Guildford, Wilmslow, Solihull and St Albans.

According to the Fast Track 100 (2016), Loaf is the UK’s 93rd fastest growing company and employs 200 people.
