Designer clothes with up to 75% off coming to huge new shopping park just off the A1(M)

Designer clothes with up to 75% off the recommended retail price are coming to a huge new shopping park just off the A1(M).

Scotch Corner Designer Village is set to open in autumn 2021, creating up to 1,000 new jobs.

The outlet will be home to premium, high-street, and independent brands, which will span fashion, food, home and garden.

The giant shopping park will be based close to Scotch Corner in North Yorkshire.

It will bring up to 92 premium and globally recognised fashion brands to the region, including Tommy Hilfiger, BOSS, Calvin Klein, Adidas and Levi’s; high-street brands such as Gap, Clarks, Moss Bros, Mint Velvet, Brook Taverner, Joules, Regatta and Skechers; and a number of independent labels and local designers.

All will priced at up to 75% off recommended retail prices.

It will also have branches of national food chains including Wagamama and Five Guys, while "incorporating some exciting new dining concepts".

Specially designed leisure and sporting facilities are also in the pipeline, and will be unveiled over the coming months - while "dynamic event spaces will host fun and interactive experiences that will reflect the cultural buzz of Yorkshire".

Bosses say the low-rise, uncovered design "will create a village feel and pay homage to Yorkshire architecture through a series of open streets, courtyards and terraces".

Future plans will also include an extensive garden centre.

Simon Waterfield, developer and co-owner of Scotch Corner Richmond LLP, said: “Scotch Corner Designer Village is an incredibly exciting project. We are on track to open the leading outlet retail and leisure destination in the North of England in 2021 and are also proud to be championing local brands and businesses and offering our future customers exciting outlet brands to discover.

"Community is also at the heart of our vision and we look forward to creating some 330 jobs during construction and more than 1,000 permanent new jobs once we open."

Well connected with its links to the A66 and A1, new bus services will also be introduced from nearby towns, with a drop-off point located directly within the outlet.

Teesside Airport is just 20 minutes away, with bosses claiming it will be a popular destination for the growing number of international visitors, and an attractive stop-off for locals before travelling abroad.
