Foodies with a sweet tooth will be pleased to know that a dessert restaurant based in Accrington is offering an unusual twist on the classic cheesecake.
Oh My Cheesecake claims to be the first dessert shop in the UK to introduce customers to the concept of ‘cheesecake on a stick’.
Initially launching in 2020, the business was inspired by founder Jack Shepherd’s experience of the unusual dessert during his time in Australia.
They are served soft frozen, so they resemble an ice cream lolly in texture and look, but with additional creaminess.
Customers can even create their own from a variety of flavours and toppings, or choose from the menu, which changes on a regular basis to introduce new combinations.
Menu highlights include the ‘S’mores', a frozen cheesecake topped with marshmallows and biscuit crumb and the ‘Jaffa Cake’ featuring crumbled chocolate orange and dark chocolate and finished off with a whole Jaffa cake.
Other flavours include the ‘Dodgy Jammy Dodger’, Snickers, and mint chocolate Areos. You can even top your choice with Coco pops for an extra crunch, or choose your own unique creation.
If cheesecake doesn't appeal to you, they also offer a selection of other sweet treats, including brownies, cookies, doughnuts and even croissants that are stuffed with a cheesecake filling.
One reviewer described the shop as serving 'the best dessert I ever had.'
Another enthused: “First time ordering from these and all I can say is there are cheesecakes, and then there are Oh My Cheesecakes.
"Well worth the money, you get an ample serving and service with a smile from the delivery driver.”
A third said: “Oh my god! We are literally in heaven! Ordered a Biscoff cookie sandwich, coconut brownie and marshmallow cheesecake, and all three were amazing.
“Delivery was quick too! Will definitely order again.”
The venture has been such a success that Jack was able to open a second venue at food and drink haven Hatch, on Oxford Road, this year.
Oh My Cheesecake is still operating their delivery service too from both venues, so you can enjoy the sugar rush in the comfort of your own home.
