There was nothing cryptic about this Deshaun Watson tweet.
Despite the fact that there’s a lot of buzz about where the Houston Texans could trade the quarterback — amidst all the talk of Watson’s trade request — Watson took a moment after news broke of J.J. Watt being released by the franchise and tweeted a lovely message to his now-former teammate.
“Any team in the league will be better the day you out on their jersey!” he wrote. And he’s absolutely right, even with Watt probably past his prime — there are plenty of teams who would want an all-timer like him on their roster.
