'Deserves a Statue!' - Arsenal fans hail Raul Sanllehi amid Philippe Coutinho transfer rumours

Arsenal fans are full of praise for head of football Raul Sanllehi, as transfer rumours about who else may be coming in at the Emirates Stadium over the next six days intensifies.

Arsenal have already signed four new players during the window, including the club record capture of Lille midfielder Nicolas Pepe, but it seems that they are not done there.

The Gunners are one of the clubs being linked with an interest in signing former Liverpool man Philippe Coutinho on loan, with reports even suggesting that Sanllehi's good relationship with Barcelona is putting Arsenal at the head of the race for the Brazilian.

Coutinho shone in his previous spell in the Premier League with Liverpool, scoring 54 goals and providing 45 assists in 201 appearances in Red, form that earned him a big money move to Catalan giants Barcelona in January 2018.

Reports claim that the Arsenal head of football is set to meet with Barcelona officials during the two teams' game against each other on Sunday in order to try and come to a deal.

It's not only Coutinho that Arsenal have been linked with, with a deal for Celtic defender Kieran Tierney looking like it's getting closer. There has also been links with Barcelona center back Samuel Umtiti.

After a slow start to the transfer window, Gunners fans are now beginning to enjoy it, and the signings have bought an optimism for the upcoming season.

Should Arsenal be able to sign all of their targets before the deadline on Thursday, there will be one man who will be very popular among supporters.

Sanllehi was promoted to the head of football at the Emirates in February 2018 after the departure of Ivan Gazidis.
