DeSean Jackson to take part in NFL Network piece on legacy of late rapper Nipsey Hussle

DeSean Jackson is returning to Philadelphia to play for the Eagles, but he’ll have Los Angeles close to his heart this season as he pays tribute all season long to a fallen friend. Jackson will be playing in custom cleats this season, in honor of the late rapper Nipsey Hussle, who was shot in killed at the age of 33.

Both Jackson and Hussle grew up in the Crenshaw section of Los Angeles and the late rapper had a lasting effect on the Eagles’ star during their 15-year friendship. Now according to Jackson via his Instagram account, the Eagles wide receiver, along with Snoop Dogg, will play a huge role in an NFL Network piece on Hussle.

Jackson returned to the Eagles after signing a three-year deal worth $27 million, including $17 million in guaranteed money. Jackson is a different player and matured man than the one jettisoned away by Chip Kelly years ago.
