DeSean Jackson on returning to the Eagles to ‘stack’ Super Bowl jewelry up on the wall

DeSean Jackson is back in Philadelphia, after being acquired via trade from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Jackson has said all the right things in regards to why he wanted to move on from the Bucs, stating that things “just didn’t work out” between himself and Jameis Winston. On Saturday morning, Jackson got more in-depth, telling TMZ Sports that he returned to Philadelphia because they’re “chasin’ some jewelry.”

“We’re tryin’ to stack it up on the wall, man!” he said. “They got some good things going on. I’m just happy to be an addition to that.”

Jackson will join an already loaded roster that features wide receivers Alshon Jeffery and Nelson Agholor, as well as Pro Bowl tight end Zach Ertz and budding star, Dallas Goedert.

Last season in Tampa, Jackson racked up 41 receptions for 774 yards and four touchdowns in 12 games, posting the lowest numbers of his career. Even with the down season, Jackson still led the NFL with a per-catch average of 18.9 yards — the main reason he was brought back to Philadelphia.
