A man is due in court this morning charged with attempted murder and rape.
The 27-year-old was charged by police in connection with an incident in the Derry area on Sunday, April 7.
He is due before Derry Magistrates’ Court this morning, April 8.

A PSNI spokesman said: "Officers from Public Protection Branch have charged a 27 year old man with attempted murder, rape and a number of other offences.
"He is due to appear at Derry / Londonderry Magistrates’ Court this morning (April 8).
"As is normal procedure, all charges will be reviewed by the PPS."
