Derry police charge man with attempted murder

A man is due in court this morning charged with attempted murder and a number of other offences.

The 23-year-old was charged by  police in connection with an incident in the  Derry area on Monday, December 2nd, 2019.

He is due before  Derry Magistrates’ Court this morning, January 30.

PSNI spokesman said: "The man, aged 23 years old, has been charged with offences including attempted murder, aggravated burglary and stealing, aggravated burglary with intent to inflict grievous bodily harm, possession of an offensive weapon with intent to commit an indictable offence and wounding with intent to do grievous bodily harm. 

"As is usual procedure, the charges will be reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service."
