Derry Girls star posts sweet video with Granda Joe ahead of series finale

Derry Girls star Louisa Harland posted a sweet video of Granda Joe ahead of the series finale tonight.

The actress who plays Orla McCool in the beloved Channel 4 series shared a lovely picture of the pair followed by a cute video of them dancing together.

She posted on Instagram saying: “Joe McCool. The only man cooler is Ian himself.”

Ian McElhinney plays the cranky but lovable grandfather in the series.

Nicola Coughlan, who plays Claire, commented: "The dance gets me every single time".

And comedian Jack Rooke said: "Just a little Tuesday morning pang to the heart of you guys dancing".

Dubliner, Louisa grew up in Dundrum and attended the Ann Kavanagh Youth Theatre in Rathfarnham.

After finishing drama school, Harland then moved to the UK, graduating from the Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts in London.

In 2011 she landed a recurring role in the hit RTE gangland series, Love/Hate as Kayleigh.

However it wasn't until 2017 that Harland would come to international prominence when she was cast as Orla in the Channel 4 sitcom Derry Girls.

The show built up was a massive hit and we're sad to see it leave our screens.
