Derry Girls fans outraged after hit comedy series misses out on BAFTA award

Derry Girls’ fans across Twitter are absolutely furious that the comedy show didn’t win anything at the BAFTAs  on Sunday night.

After two seasons of the show fans have become obsessed with Derry Girls so it’s not too hard to believe why they are so mad it didn’t win anything.

Derry Girls lost best scripted comedy to Sally4Ever which airs on Sky Atlantic.

After the devastating loss, fans of the show took to Twitter to show their disappointment.

One twitter user said: "How did Derry Girls not win a BAFTA? That show is comedy cold."

Another took to Twitter to say: "People moaning about Game of Thrones when the biggest tragedy to happen last night was clearly Derry Girls not getting a BAFTA."

Someone else added: "derry girls not winning a bafta last night is irishphobia at its finest."

This was Derry Girls' first ever BAFTA nominee after winning best comedy at the 2018 IFTA's.
