Derry Girls fans delighted after James shows up and saves Erin's day

James won over both Erin and the viewers' hearts in last night's episode of Derry Girls.

Poor Erin was left waiting for John-Paul after getting all dressed up for their 50s prom night.

As minutes went by, heartbroken Erin waited in anxiety until she realised that nobody was coming.

And just as she had decided to head up to her room to change, the doorbell rang.

In a cute rom-com moment, James skipped the convention and instead decided to show up at her door as the song 'Independent Love Song' by Scarlet played in the background.

The episode left delighted fans speculating if this was the start of a romance between the pair.
