Derry Girls and Outlander stars among attendees announced for BAFTA Scotland awards in Glasgow

The attendees have been announced for this year's BAFTA Scotland awards ahead of the glittering ceremony in Glasgow this weekend.

The British Academy Scotland Awards will be hosted by Edith Bowman at the DoubleTree by Hilton Glasgow Central this coming Sunday (November 3).

Among the attendees will be Line of Duty star Martin Compston, Outlander stars Caitriona Balfe and Sam Heughan, the cast of Still Game, Derry Girls stars Saoirse-Monica Jackson and Nicola Coughlan and Mary Queen of Scots actor Jack Lowden.

Jude MacLaverty, Director of BAFTA Scotland, said: “We are thrilled to have such a fantastic list  of guests attending this year's awards representing the very best creative talent from across Scotland.

"We’re honoured to welcome everyone to the event and look forward to recognising the outstanding achievements of our nominees.”

Red carpet coverage of the event will begin at 5pm on Sunday and the ceremony will be livestreamed from 19.00 on Facebook.

While a special awards highlights programme will be broadcast on BBC Scotland at 22.00, which will also be available on iPlayer.
