Derry City supporters can roar their team all the way to Europe says Declan Devine

Declan Devine wants Derry City supporters to roar their team all the way to Europe.

The Candystripes have collared Bohs for third spot and now have Shamrock Rovers in their sights ahead of their clash with the Hoops tonight.

Rovers are six points ahead of Derry and have two games in hand but Devine is calling for a cauldron-like atmosphere.

“We’re pretty much looking at 10 cup finals between now and the end of the season,” said the manager. “If we can replicate the atmosphere we had here in the early games then who knows what’s possible.

“This is a really tough match for us. Rovers have been building their team for a few years. They were very good in their European games and play on the front foot with really good options going forward.

"Despite that, there’s been very little between us in our meetings this year and this has the makings of a decent game.”

Meanwhile, City midfielder Gerardo Bruna has signed a contract extension until the end of next season.
