Derry businesses have pulled out all the stops out to have the most spectacular Christmas window in the city.
Shop windows and buildings have been transformed for the festive season and these newly changed store fronts have enhanced the Christmas setting created in Derry after the switch-on of the Christmas lights.
As an incentive for local businesses to create colourful and festive store fronts to help bring the city to life this festive season, the City Centre Initiative set up the Twelve Windows of Christmas competition.
With many local businesses being shut last year during the festive season, even more effort has been made this year to create these special winter scenes.
Many Derry businesses entered the competition, and a shortlist of twelve businesses was created.
The shortlist of finalists include Campbells Bar, Cancer Research Derry, D Cooley Jewellers, Ivy Gate, Shipquay Fabrics, Quiggs Florist, SmartSwag, The Cottage Craft Gallery and Coffee Shop, The Gift Box, The Sacred Tree and Visit Derry.
Wreaths, arches, figurines, lights and window paintings have all been incorporated for these amazing displays. Each local business has created something entirely unique in a bid to win the Twelve Windows of Christmas competition.
In transforming their shop fronts and windows, these businesses have helped create a festive wonderland in the heart of Derry's city centre.
A huge effort has been made by all businesses to help create winter scenes to entertain their customers.
Votes can be cast here for your favourite shop window. You can also vote by emailing lorraine@cciderry.com.
With so many fantastic displays it will be difficult to choose a winner! Well done to all who have made a special effort this festive season.
