A man in his 30s has been hospitalised after being attacked by a group of up to five men in Derry on Boxing Day.
The 34-year-old was attacked on Ballymagowan Avenue at around 10pm by the group.
He was taken to hospital with serious facial injuries, including a fractured jaw.
A PSNI spokesman said: "We are appealing for any persons who may have been in the area and witnessed anything suspicious or who perhaps might have dash-cam footage to contact us on reference number 1134 30/12/21."
