Derrius Guice expected to be ready for training camp

The 2019 NFL Draft is quickly approaching, but Washington Redskins fans should quickly turn their attention to another recent development that is taking place this offseason.

Derrius Guice is getting close to full recovery.

The second-round draft pick in 2018 was expected to have a monstrous rookie season prior to an ACL tear in the preseason sidelined him before he could even get going.

No matter, though, as the 21-year-old looks to be bouncing back and nearing 100 percent.

On Tuesday morning in a session with the media, Redskins coach Jay Gruden said that Guice will get some individual workouts in OTA’s (Organized Team Activities) but he will most likely be with trainers for the majority of the time, according to NBC Sports Washington’s JP Finlay.

The plan is to have Guice back and ready to go by training camp later this summer.
