Nov. 14--Derrick Rose is day-to-day with a "mild strain" of his left hamstring, coach Tom Thibodeau said following Friday's Bulls' practice.
The Bulls merely held a film session, walked through some sets and did individual shooting at the United Center. Thibodeau said Rose, whose injury did not require an MRI exam, rode a stationary bicycle and did some work on a treadmill.
Thibodeau wouldn't speculate on Rose's availability for Saturday's home game against the Indiana Pacers. The Bulls have been conservative with Rose throughout this season.
"The next day, you want to see how he feels," Thibodeau said. "It's day-to-day. That's the reality of it."
Rose is returning from missing all but 10 games over two seasons because of a torn ACL and torn meniscus. Given that he already has sprained two ankles and now tweaked a hamstring, Thibodeau got asked if Rose's body could be compensating.
"Anything is possible I guess," Thibodeau said. "I think when a guy comes back and has been out an extended amount of time, there's going to be things that crop up. He just has to work his way through it. He'll be fine. It happens. Just keep putting one foot in front of the other and whatever the circumstances are, deal with them."
