Derrick Henry has taken plenty of souls this year and a poor Lions defender was his latest victim. Henry, who leads the NFL in rushing yards up to this point, is arguably the most violent runner in the league, just punishing linebackers and safeties that have the misfortune of trying to take him down in the open field.
When Henry gets a full head of steam, it’s just impossible to bring him down. Lions cornerback Alex Myres got stiff armed through the Earth’s crust by Henry, like many defenders before him.

For a run that didn’t even make it to the first down marker, that’s about as memorable as it gets.
If there’s anywhere for Myres to find peace and solace after this play, he probably won’t be the last defender to get posterized by Henry this season.
