Derren Bent sends message to Dele Alli over possible PSG move amid Tottenham exit talk

Former Tottenham striker Darren Bent believes Paris Saint-Germain would be a 'fantastic' move for Dele Alli.

Alli was left out of the Spurs squad for their win over Southampton on Sunday, and on the back of that, he has been linked with a shock move to PSG.

According to former Tottenham frontman turned pundit Bent, that would be a great move for the England international.

"With Dele and PSG, I think he would be superb for them," he said on TalkSPORT.

Southampton 2-5 Spurs: Press conference with Jose Mourinho

"We know the French league is not as competitive as the Premier League, but when you go and play for players like Mbapp, Neymar and Veratti, it's automatically he is going to lift his levels.

"I think a change of scenery will do him a world of good and for that club - I think he would be fantastic there."

Speaking about Alli's loss of form, Bent added: "When you burst onto the scene that Dele did, your dedication to the game has got to be at the very top to maintain that.

"Even if your focus waivers a little bit, it's going to be massive.

"He has never quite been able to get back to that level and I think a change of scenery would be great for him.

"You look at where he goes from Spurs, and I just think PSG would be a great shout, for him to go abroad."
