Irish singer Dermot Kennedy surprised Edinburgh locals with a free performance in the city centre on Sunday, with a huge crowd gathering to watch the chart-topping artist.
The singer shared pictures of the crowd that gathered on the Royal Mile to listen to the 30-year-old from Dublin, just days after performing to a sell-out crowd of 70,000 fans back home.
Dermot was on the streets of Edinburgh busking to raise money for Mind, a mental health charity, with hundreds gathering to hear some of his most popular songs and even his newly-released single, Kiss Me.

Taking to social media shortly after the performance, Dermot posted: "From 70,000 people on Friday night to playing a free show on the street in Edinburgh two days later. An insane amount of people showed up, thank you so much. And a beautiful amount of money raised for Mind Charity. I really really loved that. What a city."
The Sonder Street Session was announced on Dermot's social media platforms days before the performance, informing fans in Edinburgh that they would be able to catch a glimpse of the popular singer in their home city, free of charge, and all for a good cause. The mini concert was also streamed live on his TikTok.
Fans were in awe as Dermot performed hits such as Better Days, Something to Someone and his new hit, Kiss Me. Dozens of videos appeared on TikTok from fans that turned up to see the artist return to hit roots in the form of busking on the streets before getting his first big break during his mid 20s.
Kennedy was also recently pictured enjoying a night out with fellow Irishman Jamie Dorman, who is famous for acting a key role in the movie Fifty Shades of Grey and appearing in various TV shows such as The Fall and The Tourist.
