Dermot Kennedy will take part in this year's Soccer Aid and will play alongside Republic of Ireland legend Robbie Keane.
The Irish singer-songwriter recently announced that he will play for the World XI team in this year's charity match, which takes place at Old Trafford on September 6.
Kennedy posted on Twitter: "Oh my god, this is so exciting!! Thank you @socceraid for having me join the 2020 World XI team for @UNICEF_uk on Sunday 6 September. It's for an amazing cause and I’m so proud to be part of it. Live and exclusive on @ITV and @WeAreSTV."
This Sunday's game sees a team consisting of English footballers and celebrities facing a World XI.
The England XI will be captained by Olly Murs, with Wayne Rooney and Sam Allardyce acting as co-managers.
Keane's former manager Harry Redknapp will take charge of the World XI, which consists of players such as Patrice Evra, Yaya Toure and Claude Makelele.
Meanwhile, Kennedy recently revealed his famous aunt Mary Kennedy taught him ‘beautiful’ lessons in how to deal with his star status.
He told the Irish Daily Mirror: “It’s not even that she ever sat me down and gave me advice, or told me how to do it.
“But she leads by example and sets a beautiful example in terms of, even when we are on holidays, knowing how to treat people when they come up and talk to you.
“And how to, even when she is on TV, how well prepared she is and how she conducts herself.
“So she never needed to really tell me anything then, because it was all there.”
